Dirty Water Campaign
Parkview Christian Academy is getting dirty! For the month of December, Parkview students are involved in a “Dirty Water Campaign.” The students are each drinking a bottle of “dirty water” (water with a touch of tea), then filling the empty bottles with spare change. Their goal is to raise $5,000 to dig a well that will provide clean drinking water for a village in Ethiopia for the next 20-30 years. Students and parents are being challenged to drink only water for the month of December and donate the money saved by not purchasing coffee, pop, and other drinks. The students have raised nearly $1,000 to date! If individuals or area businesses would like to contribute, donations can be sent to Parkview Christian Academy, 201 W. Center Street, Yorkville, IL 60560. One hundred percent of money received will go directly toward the “Dirty Water Campaign.” For more information, go to www.ParkviewChristian.net or call 630.553.5158.
