"When blessed with wealth, let them withdraw from the competition of vanity and be modest, retiring from ostentation, and not be the slaves of fashion."
William Wilberforce

BACK to What's New

Last Thursday, Sept. 23, Parkview Christian Academy held its second annual Late Summer Night 5-K Run and 1-Mile Fun Run. The race took runners from Parkview, past the high school, and through a subdivision before returning to the school. Seventy-four runners participated, 40 of which were in the 5-K and the rest in the 1-Mile Fun Run. Lynwood Baptist Church donated water for the runners and numerous Parkview staff and parent volunteers were on hand to make the evening possible. Along with the run, 5-Bs BBQ was set up at the City Park and served food to 660 people while Parkview teens were selling desserts for their upcoming class trip and LaheLahe Coffee was on hand selling iced and hot coffee to those interested. A live band, made up of a talented group of high school students from Aurora Christian and Calvary Church in Naperville, provided a nice musical set for the evening. A bounce house was graciously donated for the evening by the Cronshaw family, whose son Jacob is in Parkview's preschool program. Razzle Dazzle of the Merry Heart Clowns from New Life Church was also present and mingling with the young kids.
