Mrs. Underwood back
Hello! My name is Melissa Underwood. I grew up on a farm in rural Indiana, with my parents and two sisters. I married my high school sweetheart, Mark, in 1990, while attending Purdue University. Since college, over the past 19 years, we have lived in Indiana, Arizona and Illinois. The Lord has blessed us with five beautiful children, four boys and one girl, and two dogs: C.Jay, Nate, Tori, Titus, and Elias (the dogs' names are Ramzey and Ginger). We attend Grace Church of DuPage in Warrenville and have been actively involved in Children’s Ministry the last 14 years. Our family loves to play games (Euchre or Apples to Apples anyone?), competitive sports, snow sledding and roasting marshmallows over an open fire.

Proverbs 16:9 states, “We can make our plans, but the Lord directs our steps.” The past 17 years I was privileged to be a stay at home mom, but due to the current economic conditions, our family income needed a boost. God wonderfully responded and provided me the opportunity to become the new Secretary at Parkview Christian Academy. His timing is always perfect, as our youngest was just entering school. My new position at Parkview also afforded the opportunity for our 3 youngest children to receive a Christian Education.

I am very excited and consider it a blessing to be a part of all the Lord has planned for Parkview in the coming days, months and years! “I LOVE MY JOB” and feel very blessed to be a part of the Parkview family!
