Melissa Underwood
Administrative Assistant
Came to Parkview in 2009
|
Mrs. Underwood grew up on a farm in rural Indiana with her parents and two sisters. She married her High School sweetheart, Mark, in December of 1990 while attending Purdue University. Since college she has lived in Indiana, Arizona and Illinois. The Lord has blessed Mark and Melissa with five beautiful children, four Boys and one Girl. She is a member of Village Bible Church in Sugar Grove, IL. In her "free" time she enjoys playing games with her family and friends; Euchre is her favorite. Acclimated to the various changes of seasons, she enjoys snow sledding and roasting marshmallows over an open fire.
Proverbs 16:9 states, "We can make our plans, but the Lord directs our steps." This is exactly how the Lord brought Melissa to Parkview. Due to the downturn in the economy, like so many others, after 17 years of being privileged to be a stay at home mom, Melissa needed to find a full-time job outside the home. As always, God's timing was perfect as their youngest was entering Kindergarten.
Melissa has been at Parkview since July of 2009. She served as Parkview's School Secretary for 2 years and was promoted to School Administrative Assistant August 2011. She is very excited and considers herself blessed to be part of all the Lord has planned for Parkview in the coming days, months, and years! She is always saying, "I LOVE MY JOB, and feel very blessed to be a part of the Parkview family!"
